Elder Adam Ray Allen's adventures in the New York, New York City Mission!!

Pic in front of a dope wall! Yo everyone! It's been such a bomb week out here in New York! The work is moving along and it's even better with the holidays coming up! We're playing Christmas music all the time so you could say we're ready for it haha.  So last Wednesday after we played sports and did everything else we needed to do, we went by GNC and I finally grabbed myself some pre workout so I'm not dying when I lift in the mornings. We've been going pretty hard with working out morning and night which is awesome cause it's the best stress reliever ever. Also update, we didn't bring the bench into our place because we were scared there were bed bugs on it 😂 but, we did end up giving the lady we met a Book of Mormon so that was awesome! We had a super cool lesson with M___ and her family on Thursday, and ended up inviting them to pray about a baptismal date for December 30.     World trade center     At 9/11 memorial Que pasa! Esta semana fue buenísima! So many awesome things happening here in the Bronx! So first off, last Wednesday we went down to Manhattan and it was super cool! The 9/11 memorial is the best place ever I swear, every time I go there I love it. It makes me like 20x more patriotic haha. We also got some dope penguin ties from this place and Elder Stevens and Horner and I got a unity one that’s pretty snazzy. Then we went and played some ball at the chapel inside the temple with our old roommates and my boy Elder Munoz! That night we had a super good lesson with one of our investigators on baptismal date, and then a FHE with a family in the ward. What's up everyone! Another week down here in the Bronx! It's been such a good week with so much happening, so I'll try and condense it all into this email!  Last pday was just full of cleaning the apartment, playing sports, and going shopping. Our English class had given me a Marshall's gift card for my bday a while back, so we went there and I found a dope Oakley Hoodie and haircut kit which I desperately need 😂 that night we had awesome lessons with Floridelda who is on bap date, and then the Martinez family who is the dopest family ever! They are so strong in the church and just love doing missionary work, which is super cool to see. It's super hard to get ward members involved out here, nothing like back on the west coast haha. Thursday we had a hilarious English class 😂 so we only had like 5 people there and they were our home girls that always come. Me and my new comp Elder Gomez! Hey Everyone! Hope you've had an awesome week! This past week has been super busy and I'm absolutely exhausted, but it's been awesome! We've been just teaching tons of lessons and meeting a lot of new people.  So first cool thing that happened this week, we were able to finally set a solid baptismal date with our dude junior! He's so cool I think I've talked about him before, but he is the one who had a heart attack and is a little slower so it takes forever for him to remember things. We've been going over there and teaching him a lot recently and he's been remembering more every time which is awesome, the funniest thing with him though is that he almost never has a shirt on when we come 😂 but luckily I got him to put one on for some pictures he took so I'll put those on this email!  Junior and I flexing out and doing his signature picture pose😂 We also had some lessons with some awes...

Saying bye to my dad Elder Munoz 😭 What’s up everyone! Just got through transfers yesterday! Man this is crazy to get a new companion and be in charge of this area now! It honestly sucked saying bye to Elder Munoz, me and him got super tight and I definitely am going to look him up after the mission. But he’s going with my good bud Elder Dimond from the mtc so that’s pretty cool! My new companion is……. Elder Gomez! He’s straight from Mexico and had to learn English out here. Well partly, he spent 5 years in the US and then moved back to Mexico with his family until he came out here. He’s super cool though! Forgot to smile while laundry ladies took our picture :( Man this week has been so awesome! We've had so many little miracles everyday and it's so sweet to be able to notice them! So first off, last Wednesday we went to Manhattan and I freaking love that place. The world trade center is massive oh my and the 9/11 memorial is awesome. We went to Soho on our way back and stopped in a ton of high end stores like Bape and Louis Vuitton and all that. The Nike store there is insane! 5 floors and on the top floor you can try on basketball shoes and go shoot around on a court! So dope. Also the apple store had a legit movie theater in it for when they unveil new stuff. We also went to Chinatown and it was crazy haha the supermarket had tons of live fish and stuff and you just choose one and the guy behind the counter smacks the crap out of it on a shelf then weighs it and gives it to ya 😂 so cool in Manhattan though I would go down there every pday if we could!
