7/9/18: Hay que trabajar

Buenos días!

Another awesome week has gone by here in the Bronx, and it was filled with a lot of meetings and miracles. We have had quite a bit of time with President teuscher, and this man rocks. He is the perfect balance of cool and consecrated. It's been sweet to be around him and feel of his spirit that he brings to the mission.

Side note: Hispanic food has become a part of me, so looks like I'll have to teach my family a thing or two when I get back. There's a drink called morir soñando, that literally is a piece of heaven 🍹

We had an awesome zone conference, and President teuscher brought up 3 ways we can become trustworthy in the eyes of the Lord.
1. Work
2. Obedience
3. Love

We need to work! Faith isn't an idle thing that we bank on when times are hard or when we need some help. Constantly, we need to be acting and striving to build our faith and manifest it through our work. There is no substitute for hard work!

As we are obedient to the commandments of God, we see blessings! That's just common sense. If we do what we are supposed to be doing, we have a promise from our heavenly father that we will have him by our side and the atonement of his son Jesus christ available. He will "pour out heavenly blessings"!

Now love is by far the most difficult one. Developing a perfect, christlike love is something that none of us will fully accomplish here in this life. We can strive to always love MORE though! True character is shown when "we turn outward, when the natural man would turn inward." We need to treat others as we want to be treated (quote from mom) and always look at others as the sons and daughters of God they are!

It's been so amazing to be able to feel God's love while out here in New York. I will always be grateful for the experiences I've had or for the ones yet to come! Love you all and hope you have a great week!
