Elder Adam Ray Allen's adventures in the New York, New York City Mission!!

Hola a todos!  First week in a car down! It's been pretty awesome here in Long Island, and very different from the Bronx 😂 Everytime I tell people where I've served before their eyes get big 😂  Dope bench quote I wanted to start this email off with a quick miracle. We are teaching this man named Franklin, who is dating a member of the ward here in Brentwood. I called him on Friday and he said he would come to church, which he did. Elder Serna and I were planning on inviting him to be baptized after church, but as we went up to ask if he could talk, he told us that he wanted to be baptized! We sat down for a few minutes and talked about it, and set the baptismal date for the 20th of October. People are prepared here on the Island! Marcos Rojas!  It's been an awesome week, and I've been driving a lot which is the weirdest feeling ever. I literally had no idea how different it would feel going through

Good morning!  Yes, I'm leaving the Bronx! Unfortunately :( I've spent all of my mission so far strictly in the city and it's been the best, but it looks like I'm headed out to drive a car! I'll be in Brentwood, in the middle of Long Island! Elder Serna will be my companion, and he's from mexico! Super hyped about that. My trainee Elder Cuevas will be in my zone as well, so i will be able to go on a split with him in a few weeks. I was on a split with my boy Elder Palmer this week, and we had a pretty dope miracle happen. We had gone into this building to knock a few doors, and the first one we knocked, this big guy opens up and freaks out that the "Mormons" are knocking at his place. He said to come back at 5, so we did. We sat at his door with him for 30 minutes while he told us his life story and how he doesn't like any of his neighbors because they're way to ghetto.
