Franklin and Marilyn! Como andan muchachos?! End of the transfer over here in New York! Today is the last day before the new transfer begins, and we've got some changes over here in Brentwood. Elder Serna will be headed to my old stomping grounds in Harlem!!!! So excited for him, that place is legit my waters of Mormon haha. I'll be receiving an Elder Mansfield from Brooklyn. Should be a great next 6 weeks. We had a ton happen this week, but the biggest thing for sure was that our recent convert and best bud Franklin Fernandez got married!!! And to throw a cherry on top he wanted Elder Serna and I to be his groomsmen ๐Ÿ˜‚ Definitely never thought I would be doing that in the mission but there ya go. It was super cool though, and Franklin was the happiest man I have ever seen. Him and his new family will be moving to Provo, UT this next week, so all of you living over there hit me up for his info so you can go say hi to him!! (Pics below)   SQUAD     L

Heyo!  Quick one here in Long Island! It was one of the most eventful weeks of the mission, but for sure a good one. We had 3 exchanges, stake correlation with the mission and stake presidency, and 1 million other things to do. First off, Betty Zamora was confirmed this week! Y'all should have seen the smile on her face as she walked down off the podium, so cool.  While I was on a split with Elder Perkins from our zone, we went to visit 2 young kids that I had met while on another exchange the week before. We got inside and started teaching them about what we really do, and the mom and step dad stood in and listened to us. The mom was ecstatic that we were teaching her kids about God, and they came to church on sunday! The 11 year old boy fell asleep during the last talk, but hey we went 25 minutes over so we can't blame him ๐Ÿ˜‚  Also another dope miracle before I go off on some doctrine I found this week. We went to look up a man that had previously h

Comp study on the water ร“rale Cuate! Another sweet one here in Brentwood! We had another baptism! Our girl Betty Zamora entered the waters of baptism on Saturday, and it was awesome. She has been meeting with the missionaries for around 6 months. Her kids are all members of the church, but she never was baptized. We had a lesson with her on Wednesday and brought a member with us. At the start of the lesson she told us that she wasn't feeling ready for her baptism. Brother Romero began bearing powerful testimony to her, and she said she would be baptized, but that she wanted to push it up a week to this past Saturday! Her son came from Virginia to perform the ordinance and it was awesome.   Bautismo We also had Stake Conference this last weekend and were able to attend the Saturday night session with someone who recently has come back to church. He was asked to bear his testimony on ministering, and right before he went up, another brother from our ward shar

10/8/18: Conferencia general

Buenos dรญas!  Man what a weekend! General conference is always the best weekend in the mission. It was so cool to hear from living prophets of God, and especially to hear about 12 new temples! President Nelson is going hard. We had a sweet week here in Brentwood. We had an awesome miracle on Friday. We were going around inviting all of the people we are teaching to general conference, and this one lady we were looking for wasn't home. The front door was open, and we saw this older lady dancing to some super loud Hispanic music. Her son was there too, and when we approached he invited us right in! We sat down with him and talked to him about general conference this weekend. Honestly, we weren't planning on inviting him to be baptized, but he literally asked us what our end goal is! So we told him, and set a baptismal date for the 27th of this month! He came to general conference yesterday and brought his entire family as well.  This week I was studying i
