8/6/18: Bautismo y un testimonito

Ya se fue la semana!  This one went by like nothing, but one of the coolest weeks of the mission. First off, we have transfers tomorrow and I'll be staying here in the Bronx with Elder Lammi! Pretty excited for that honestly because we've got some awesome people here we're working with. Also pretty much every companionship in our zone will be receiving someone from the previous New York South mission, which will be sweet!  We had a baptism! Juan Nuñez was baptized and confirmed this weekend and it was such a cool experience. After the baptism we usually teach the restoration to everyone there but this time we switched it up and put a quick video on it and mashed some testimonies from past missionaries and members from the ward with super dope piano in the back. 10/8/18: Conferencia general

Buenos días!  Man what a weekend! General conference is always the best weekend in the mission. It was so cool to hear from living prophets of God, and especially to hear about 12 new temples! President Nelson is going hard. We had a sweet week here in Brentwood. We had an awesome miracle on Friday. We were going around inviting all of the people we are teaching to general conference, and this one lady we were looking for wasn't home. The front door was open, and we saw this older lady dancing to some super loud Hispanic music. Her son was there too, and when we approached he invited us right in! We sat down with him and talked to him about general conference this weekend. Honestly, we weren't planning on inviting him to be baptized, but he literally asked us what our end goal is! So we told him, and set a baptismal date for the 27th of this month! He came to general conference yesterday and brought his entire family as well.  This week I was studying ...

Week 41: Tendremos conferencia en tres días!

Gracias a él activity! Talked to like 200 people in an hour and a half.  Another week here in Harlem in the books! This weekend is General Conference and I can't tell you how excited I am! We had some pretty cool stuff happen to us on Saturday. We were walking down the street after having contacted people for about 2 hours, with no success. A man walks up and asks us how we're doing which is super weird in New York because usually when people walk up to us it's either to yell at us or lie to us and say they are college graduates who need some change for some coffee. We ended up walking with him for about 20 blocks, talking about his family and how he loves the peace that our church brings to the Harlem community. We left him with a card and then had another awesome thing happen when we went to look up an investgator. We got out of the elevator and saw a lady that we had passed off a few weeks ago, and she told us that she took seeing us again as a confirmation ...
