1/14/19: Las semanas siguen mejorando

Jose Guzman looking fly!  Hola!  I swear I just keep saying this over and over again, but this was the best week of my mission.  On Saturday we had one of the coolest experiences I've had yet. We had been on an exchange with some elders from Riverhead on Friday, and at the end of it had messaged someone from Facebook that had liked our church's page. The Riverhead Elders continued talking to him and eventually found out that he lived in our area. We started talking to him as well and set up a time to meet the next day in the chapel. When he arrived the next day we sat down in the chapel and as he told us more about himself, it became apparent that he had been through some super hard stuff. I opened up to Alma 36: 19-20 and as we read, an overwhelming feeling of peace rushed into the room. After reading, we all couldn't speak. We sat there for a solid minute before anyone said a word. 10/22/18: Ya tu sabes que tengo gozo

Heyo!  Quick one here in Long Island! It was one of the most eventful weeks of the mission, but for sure a good one. We had 3 exchanges, stake correlation with the mission and stake presidency, and 1 million other things to do. First off, Betty Zamora was confirmed this week! Y'all should have seen the smile on her face as she walked down off the podium, so cool.  While I was on a split with Elder Perkins from our zone, we went to visit 2 young kids that I had met while on another exchange the week before. We got inside and started teaching them about what we really do, and the mom and step dad stood in and listened to us. The mom was ecstatic that we were teaching her kids about God, and they came to church on sunday! The 11 year old boy fell asleep during the last talk, but hey we went 25 minutes over so we can't blame him 😂  Also another dope miracle before I go off on some doctrine I found this week. Week 12: Almost 3 months!

 Last picture with our zone before a bunch of them get transferred! Yo everybody! This week has been freaking awesome. I've got so much I could put in here but Im gonna try and keep it kind of short for your guys' sake haha. So, this past Saturday I actually got to baptize my first person ever! Her name was Vilma Benitez and she was an investigator of the sister missionaries in our area. The sisters asked me if I wanted to baptize her since I hadn't done it yet and of course I said yes! No lie I was pretty nervous cause it was in Spanish and I did not wanna mess up lol. But I got it first try and it was awesome. She was so happy after and bore her testimony in front of everyone there. She said she felt so warm and like a new person when she came out of the water. It was so cool to be able to be a part of that, definitely one of the dopest spiritual experiences I've had out here! Alright now here's the best part of my week. This legit blew my mind. I...
