5/16/18: Traslado!




Hola! 

Another week down here in NY and there's tons of changes! We received transfer calls on Saturday night and big news, I got transferred! I'm back in the Bronx baby! It's crazy to be back but now I'm actually on the west side in a place called Kingsbridge. The cool part is that I'm now with elder jensen, who was actually my zone leader in Harlem for 2 cycles. So now we're Zone leaders here in the Bronx, and the areas of Olmstead (my first area) and this area combined so now I'll be able to go back there for splits! So hyped! 



We had a full day of lessons on Monday from 10 am to the end of the night and man it was pretty tough to say goodbye to Harlem. That place will always be special to me. The things I saw there and the spirit I constantly felt helped me and changed me in ways I can't put into words. 






We had mothers day calls on Sunday and they were awesome! Got to talk to the fam and being able to see them was definitely a blessing. One of the coolest things I noticed from the call was just how happy my family was. It made me think of a scripture I've been sharing recently in Mosiah 2: 41 which says " And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." it's crazy the difference we see in our lives and in our attitudes when we are living the gospel of Jesus christ. 👍






Elder Smith and elder Peterson went home today so that was a bummer:( those two guys were seriously some of my best friends I met out here and I definitely will never forget them.we will for sure be hanging out after the mission! Also got done training Elder Cuevas and it flew by way too fast! He is awesome though and is actually going to be training as well so I'm super excited for him to keep growing. 


We have the new mission change coming up in July so that will be insane! We are prepping for that and already have had some changes here. One of them is that pdays will be changing back to Mondays! So this next Monday you'll be getting another update so hopefully it doesn't get too redundant 😂

Week 3: 3 Weeks Down!

Me and my district!  Over halfway done with the mtc! It is flying by right now I honestly want it to slow down because it's honestly so fun right now. My district is hilarious and we all have a ton of fun while still getting everything done and staying obedient. Perfect combo! This past week has legit been so awesome. Our District :) So on Friday we had our first TRC. That stands for Teaching Resource Center, and it's where REAL recent converts, long time members, and sometimes real investigators volunteer to come in and get taught by us. It's crazy because you have no clue who these people are and you're supposed to teach them the restoration right off the bat and they speak super fast, but it's all good! Such a dope experience honestly. We actually didn't realize that the first girl we taught was already a member, so we invited her to be baptized.... whoops. But she played along and said yes haha. Week 2: Segundo Semana!

 Our District at the Mexico Temple!  Going into my third week here at the CCM! Not gonna lie, that first week was rough. It honestly felt like 3 months not 7 days. This past week flewwww by though! The language is coming a lot quicker now, and our district is awesome so time flies. It honestly is a lot of fun right now, which is not what I expected haha. And it helps that my mom is sending me packages with American food all the time, so shout out to momma Butta for that.  the clouds here look fake they're so puffy lol it's awesome    So David A. Bednar came to the Provo Mtc on Tuesday, and we got to listen to a live broadcast of it! That was awesome, and the spirit was crazy during it. Bednar is top 5 apostles all time no doubt. He's finally starting to age though which is crazy cause he looked like a 30 year old the past 10 years. 6/11/18: Agradecido

Hey everyone! Hope you've all had a great week!  This week went by way too quick, and it was filled with so many cool things.  First off, we had an amazing lesson on Friday night. We had contacted a guy on the bus a few weeks back and had never been able to meet up but we finally got an appointment. We went over for only 20 minutes and had one of the most spiritual lessons on the restoration ever. As Elder Jensen said the first vision I had another witness that it really happened, and that because God loves us he has yet again called a prophet to lead and guide the people.  That leads right in to zone conference this past week. We had it up in Scarsdale where the mission home is, and it was the most powerful one I've been to. It was the last one with president Smith, and we focused on Joseph smith's experience.
