1/21/19: Hasta la vista






Outta here!

That's right, I'm leaving long Island and headed toooooooo CONNECTICUT! Super pumped to be out there, but also super sad to be leaving the island. This area has been life changing.







We had a sweet experience while on an exchange with the creole speaking elders in our zone. I went with two of them (they're in a trio), and towards the end of the night we were knocking some doors. We knocked on one, and this man invites us right in and says it's too cold outside. We sat down and started talking, and found out that he's been a member for years, but that nobody else in the house is. He hadn't been to church for a super long time, but as we kept chatting and met his son we all just hit it off. Mostly because the son loves video games and we talked about super smash bros (thanks siblings). We shared a video and scripture with them and they hooked us up with some posters from gamestop. The dad told us after that his son had never come out over the years that the missionaries had passed by before, so our prior knowledge of classic video games came in clutch 😂




I've had a strong witness this week that God puts us exactly where he needs us to be, and where others need us as well. This area has been full of those moments, and it's been fantastic to see people change. I've been able to feel a change wrought about in myself, and all thanks to the Atonement.

Week 3: 3 Weeks Down!

Me and my district!  Over halfway done with the mtc! It is flying by right now I honestly want it to slow down because it's honestly so fun right now. My district is hilarious and we all have a ton of fun while still getting everything done and staying obedient. Perfect combo! This past week has legit been so awesome. Our District :) So on Friday we had our first TRC. That stands for Teaching Resource Center, and it's where REAL recent converts, long time members, and sometimes real investigators volunteer to come in and get taught by us. It's crazy because you have no clue who these people are and you're supposed to teach them the restoration right off the bat and they speak super fast, but it's all good! Such a dope experience honestly. We actually didn't realize that the first girl we taught was already a member, so we invited her to be baptized.... whoops. But she played along and said yes haha. I had no idea, but apparently it's normal

Week 2: Segundo Semana!

 Our District at the Mexico Temple!  Going into my third week here at the CCM! Not gonna lie, that first week was rough. It honestly felt like 3 months not 7 days. This past week flewwww by though! The language is coming a lot quicker now, and our district is awesome so time flies. It honestly is a lot of fun right now, which is not what I expected haha. And it helps that my mom is sending me packages with American food all the time, so shout out to momma Butta for that.  the clouds here look fake they're so puffy lol it's awesome    So David A. Bednar came to the Provo Mtc on Tuesday, and we got to listen to a live broadcast of it! That was awesome, and the spirit was crazy during it. Bednar is top 5 apostles all time no doubt. He's finally starting to age though which is crazy cause he looked like a 30 year old the past 10 years. 6/11/18: Agradecido

Hey everyone! Hope you've all had a great week!  This week went by way too quick, and it was filled with so many cool things.  First off, we had an amazing lesson on Friday night. We had contacted a guy on the bus a few weeks back and had never been able to meet up but we finally got an appointment. We went over for only 20 minutes and had one of the most spiritual lessons on the restoration ever. As Elder Jensen said the first vision I had another witness that it really happened, and that because God loves us he has yet again called a prophet to lead and guide the people.  That leads right in to zone conference this past week. We had it up in Scarsdale where the mission home is, and it was the most powerful one I've been to. It was the last one with president Smith, and we focused on Joseph smith's experience.
